Mr. Steven Craig Thompson, Sr.

Mr. Steven Craig Thompson, Sr., 61, of West Point, Georgia, passed away Dec. 2, 2018, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born on Sept. 11, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Steve was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from ALCAN Aluminum Corporation in 2008. He was currently employed with Kimble’s Food by Design in LaGrange, Georgia.
Steve was hard working and devoted family man, his pride and joy was his family. He loved working with youth and taught children’s Sunday School for many years. He had a passion for music and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Motley of Louisville, Kentucky; his wife of 38 years, Dodie Thompson; children, Whitney Burkett, Craig Thompson, James (Cindy) Thompson, Aynsley Thompson, Carly (Kirk) Fuller, Michael (Mallory) Thompson, Jenny (Noah) Johnson, and Penny Thompson; seven grandchildren and two more on the way, Reagan, Reese, Ryan Burkett, Larayne Thompson, Hayden Thrift, Trenton Waldroup, and Isla Thompson.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
