The LaGrange Police Department is alerting residents of a scam that’s using a closed local business to defraud people. 

According to a LPD press release, several victims have said a man named Brian Lopez is advertising that he owns Foster’s Auto Sales, located on 1511 Hamilton Road in LaGrange, and is selling luxury vehicles over the internet.

According to the press release, Foster’s Auto Sales has been closed since August 2017. Most of the victims live outside the United States.

Anyone with information on Lopez or those claiming they sell or work for Foster’s Auto Sales is encouraged to contact the LPD at (706) 883-2620.
