Charlie Mae Moton passed away Monday.

She was born Dec. 1, 1938, in LaGrange, Georgia, to the late, Charlie Will Shepherd and Elizabeth Williams Acie.

She attended East Depot High School, was a member of Sound Doctrine Deliverance Church and retired from First Baptist Church on the Square.

Survivors include her husband, John Henry Moton; sons, Muhammad Mumin, Atlanta, Georgia; Gary (Dedria) Shepherd, Stanley Shepherd, all of LaGrange, Georgia; daughters, Anita Swanson, Cynthia (David) Heard, Atlanta, Georgia; Joyce Finch, Key West, Florida; her brother, Arthur Shepherd, LaGrange, Georgia; 24 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.

The service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church on the Square.

The family will be at their home at 98 Clearwater Drive.

The excellent care of Mrs. Moton is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
