Mr. Donald W. Billingsley

Mr. Donald W. Billingsley, 75, of Pine Mountain, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

Born Feb. 4, 1943, in West Point, Mr. Billingsley was the son of the late Sam and Wilma Minter Billingsley. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served aboard the USS Saratoga, and was a bus driver trainer for the Meriwether County School System. Mr. Billingsley was a member of Living Waters Baptist Church, loved fishing, bowling and was the horseshoes reigning world champion in his division.

Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Donna and Joe Bagley of Hogansville;  grandchildren, Andy Jones and his wife, Beth, Cory Jones, David Duke and Tommy Bagley; great-grandchildren, Jeanie, Sam, Hayden, Brody, Camden, and Hunter;  sisters and brothers in-law, Doris and Dr. Joseph Almand of LaGrange, Betty and Richard Avery of Pine Mountain, and Cindy Adams of Hogansville; brothers and sisters in-law, Frank Billingsley of Valley, Alabama, Charles and Lea Billingsley, of Pine Mountain, Kenneth and Judy Billingsley of Five Points, Alabama, and Neal and Allene Billingsley of LaGrange. In addition to his parents, Mr. Billingsley was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Steele Billingsley, and a sister, Virginia Williamson.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 21, at Living Waters Baptist Church.  The Rev. Woody Woodard and the Rev. Richard Clinard will officiate and interment will be in Meadoway Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday night and at other times will be at home of Andy and Beth Jones at 4000 Youngs Mill Rd.
