Mr. James Gary Martin Sr., age 81, of Griffin passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018. Mr. Martin was born in Pike County, Georgia on Jan. 21, 1937.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Martin and Martha Shivers Martin, his wife Elizabeth “Liz” Martin who passed away in July of 2011. He was retired from General Motors. His family was very important to him and loved when he had a chance to spend time with them.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Kevin Landers of Jacksonville; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Angie Martin of LaGrange; grandchildren, Maggie Martin, Mack Martin, Miranda Burke, Ian Burke; brother, Mark Martin; several nieces and nephew.

Visitation for Gary Martin will be on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation a funeral service will be in the chapel. Reverend Gene Luke will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
