The LaGrange Lady Grangers tuned up for region play by competing in a holiday tournament at Woodland High in Stockbridge.

After beating Morrow 46-37 in the first round, LaGrange lost to Woodland 41-31 before closing with a 40-35 loss to Alcovy.

In the Alcovy game, LaGrange started quickly with 13 points in the first quarter, but it was limited to 22 points in the next three quarters combined.

Zaria Russell led LaGrange with 11 points, and Chaquave’ayr Robinson added seven points.

LaGrange (8-5 overall) will begin its Region 5-AAAA schedule at Central-Carroll on Friday before hosting Cedartown on Saturday.
