Timothy Deon Slay, born Dec. 4, 1976, died Jan. 2, 2019. Timothy, a native of LaGrange, Georgia, was the son of Vanessa Patterson Slay and Benny Slay.  He attended LaGrange High School, and he was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church. 

Survivors include four daughters, Vantress Harris, I’yona Slay, My’ona Slay and Janiyah Williams; his father, Benny Slay; a brother, Lavench Slay; a sister, Michelle Slay; several uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends; a special cousin, Shelia Brown and special friend, Erica Williams. 

Funeral services for Timothy Deon Slay will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at 2 p.m. at New Beginning Baptist Church.  The Rev. Dr. W.E. Harris will officiate with burial at Southview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the home of Jacqueline Carr at 203 Clark Street.
