Patriots too much for Grangers

COLLEGE PARK – The high-powered Sandy Creek Patriots exploded for 39 third-quarter points on the way to an 84-47 home win over the LaGrange Grangers on Saturday.
The Patriots were ahead 37-21 at the half, and they outscored the Grangers 39-11 in the third quarter to put it away.
LaGrange (10-8 overall) fell to 2-3 in Region 5-AAAA after winning its first two region games.
Freshman guard Jakobe Jones led LaGrange with 10 points, and Vondez Taylor added eight points.
Eleven different players scored.
In a rematch of the region-championship game from a year ago, Sandy Creek beat LaGrange 51-25.
Holly Lynn led LaGrange with six points, all in the fourth quarter.
