Reader’s Choice gives community a chance to vote

We’re about halfway through the annual Reader’s Choice Awards, where the community gets to pick its favorites in LaGrange and Troup County.
If you’re new to the Reader’s Choice awards, it’s something we’ve been doing for years, and it’s a contest we really enjoy holding.
Reader’s Choice allows the readers of our newspaper to pick their favorites in dozens of categories, which makes the winners true community favorites.
The categories range from favorite bakery to best barbecue and hot dogs to the top grocery store, bank and auto body shop.
There are also categories for best doctor, attorney, mechanic and many more.
We’ve had an encouraging turnout so far and voters have until Friday to fill out their ballots, and the deadline for nominations is coming up on Friday. If you’re reading this in today’s paper, you can turn to page 9 for the Reader’s Choice Ballot. If you’re reading it online, you can go to http://bit.ly/ldnbestof to pick your favorites.
This contest is all about community input, and that input is valued greatly by the people and businesses in our community.
Plus, if that isn’t enough, you’ll be entered into a random drawing to win a $100 cash prize.
We appreciate the feedback from everyone who takes part in this annual contest.
