Mr. Michael Ray Cardwell, 66, of LaGrange passed away Monday evening Jan. 21, 2019, at WellStar West Georgia Hospice. Mr. Cardwell was born June 10, 1952, in LaGrange, Georgia, the son of the late Marshall E. “Joe” Cardwell and Mrs. Eloise Smith Cardwell.  Mr. Cardwell was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and continued his service to his country in the Army Reserves. Michael was a former employee of the Barnes Burial Vault Company.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-laws, Justin and Tiffany Cardwell, Cumming, Georgia, and Joshua and Krystal Cardwell, LaGrange, Georgia; two grandchildren, Adalyn Cardwell and Olivia Cardwell, Cumming, Georgia; mother, Mrs. Eloise Smith Cardwell, LaGrange, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Freddie J. and Valerie Cardwell, LaGrange, Georgia; and sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Rick Hinkle, LaGrange, Georgia. Funeral services for Mr. Michael R. Cardwell will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, from the chapel of the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy McMillian officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral Services for Mr. Michael R.
