The LaGrange-Troup Homeless Coalition’s Warming Center continues to remain open as the area expects to see cold temperatures. The warming shelter is in need of microwaveable meals — frozen and shelf stable — soft drinks and snacks.

All donations are welcome and can be dropped off at the Warming Center at 150 East Lukken Industrial Drive in LaGrange after 5 p.m.  Those interested can also message the LaGrange-Troup Homeless Coalition’s Facebook page to schedule a pickup.

There is also a need for volunteers. To volunteer, visit Tchomeless.com.

The Warming Center is open 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. and is located at 150 East Lukken Industrial Drive in LaGrange. The warming center opens when the overnight temperature averages 37 degrees.

If anyone needs help getting to the Warming Center, they can call 911 or go to the LaGrange Police Department and an officer will provide a ride to the center. The LaGrange Housing Authority and the Troup County Sheriff’s Department also offer free transportation.
