Mr. Henry Layton Wright, 88, of LaGrange, Georgia passed away early Thursday morning, Feb. 7, 2019, at WellStar West Georgia Hospice. Mr. Wright was born June 6, 1930, in LaGrange, Georgia, the son of the late Henry Arthur Wright and Cora Irene Reason Wright. He was a member of Dunson Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and was a retired firefighter, with the LaGrange Fire Department. Mr. Wright was also previously employed by the Dunson Mill with over 25 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but loved hunting.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mavis Rainey Wright; his son, Layton Michael Wright of LaGrange, Georgia; his daughter, Beverly Lyn Wright, LaGrange, Georgia; two granddaughters, Kristi Fenninger (Mark) of Newnan, Georgia, Leora Wright of LaGrange, Georgia; two great- granddaughters, Kimberleigh Fenninger, Kaitlin Fenninger, both of Newnan, Georgia; a sister, Martha Dean Wright Tucker, Hiawassee, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Ruth Rainey Garner; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Henry Layton Wright will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 at Dunson Baptist Church with Reverend Kenneth Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service hour of 3 p.m.
