The LaGrange Academy Warriors are hoping their final appearance on their home court is a winning one.

LaGrange Academy, the number five seed in the GISA Class A state tournament, will host fifth-seeded Twiggs Academy on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

The winner will advance to the state semifinals to play top-seeded Flint River on Friday at 8 p.m. at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus.

The winners of the two semifinal games will play for the state championship on Feb. 23.

Also this week, LaGrange Academy’s girls’ team will try to keep its season alive.

LaGrange Academy, the tournament’s number seven seed, will face second-seeded St. George’s on Friday at noon at Tatnall Square Academy in Macon.

If LaGrange Academy beats St. George’s, it will advance to the semifinals to play either First Presbyterian or Furtah Prep on Feb. 21.
