CARROLLTON – It was one of those days for the Troup Tigers.

Facing home-standing Carrollton in its season opener, Troup gave up 12 runs in the first three innings on the way to a 12-0 loss.

The game was shortened to four innings because of the run rule.

Troup struggled in the field, committing eight errors which led to seven unearned runs.

Troup was limited to three hits by five Carrollton pitchers.

Troup will look for a better result on Friday when it visits Northside-Columbus.
