It’ll be a Troup County reunion.
KeShun Freeman and Quan Bray, who excelled as high-school football players in Troup County, will share the field on Sunday during an Alliance of American Football League game.
Freeman is a linebacker for the Atlanta Legends, while Bray is a kick returner and wide receiver for the Birmingham Iron.
Atlanta will host Sunday’s game, with kickoff set for 4 p.m.
Both teams have played two games during the league’s inaugural season.
It’s been smooth sailing so far for Birmingham, which has opened with victories over Salt Lake and Memphis.
Atlanta, meanwhile, is still looking for its first win after dropping road games to Orlando and San Diego.
Freeman and Bray both starred at Callaway High, although Bray spent his senior season at Troup.
Bray went on to play for four seasons at Auburn where he was an explosive kick returner and wide receiver.
Bray wasn’t drafted following his senior season at Auburn, but he was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as a free agent.
Bray spent three seasons with the Colts and was an effective kick returner.
After he was released by the Colts, Bray spent time with the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Texans in 2018, although he didn’t appear in a regular-season game.
Freeman was a four-year starter at defensive line for Georgia Tech.
Freeman wasn’t drafted, and he signed with the New Orleans Saints. Freeman was with the Saints through the preseason before he was released.
Freeman is one of a number of players with Georgia ties who signed with Atlanta.
Freeman has played in both games and has a total of two tackles.
