HAMILTON – The Troup Tigers (1-3), one day after beating Upson-Lee for their first win of the season, fell to home-standing Harris County 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

Troup got a run in the first inning, but it was all Harris County after that.

Colby Williams led off the first inning with a double, and after advancing on a Trace Meadows bunt, he scored on a Cooper Doughman sacrifice fly.

Williams, Doughman, Grayson Garner and Ethan Morton each had hits for Troup.

Williams was the starting pitcher for Troup, and he threw the first five innings, allowing two runs on seven hits.

Carson Garner pitched the sixth inning, giving up no hits, two walks, and two unearned runs.

Harris County scored single runs in the second and third innings and two runs in the sixth while finishing with seven hits.

If the rain holds out, Troup will host Heard County on Thursday at 5:55 p.m.
