A little rain wasn’t going to stop the show.

The LaGrange Toyota Invitational began on Thursday, and two of the three games that were scheduled were played, despite a rain storm that moved through the area earlier in the day.

The game that was supposed to be played at LaGrange College on Thursday was postponed, and it will instead be played today at 9:30 a.m. at Granger Park.

Two games were played on Thursday at Granger Park, including one featuring the host LaGrange Grangers.

In the first game, Trinity Christian (Fla.) eased past South Forsyth 11-2.

In the second game, LaGrange took a 3-1 lead into the seventh inning, but Niceville rallied for a 5-3 win.

Matthew Morgan started for LaGrange and pitched four superb innings.

Morgan held Niceville to one unearned run on three hits.

Wesley Kuhn pitched two scoreless innings before running into trouble in the seventh.

Trent Bailey had two hits for LaGrange.

Kuhn had a double, and Mason Green and Will Flowers each had a hit.

Cole Crawford had an RBI.

LaGrange scored a run in the bottom of the second to take the lead.

Crawford walked, and he later scored on a wild pitch.

After Niceville tied it in the top of the third, LaGrange reclaimed the lead with two runs in the bottom of the inning.

Green reached on an error leading off, and he scored on a wild pitch.

Bailey reached on a single,  and courtesy runner Christian Alford later scored on a Crawford groundout.

That was the first of four games in three days for LaGrange.

LaGrange faces South Forsyth today at 7:30 p.m. in the last of five games at Granger Park.

LaGrange completes pool play with a game against Trinity Christian on Saturday at 10 a.m.

LaGrange will have a place game later on Saturday either at 4:30 p.m. or 7 p.m.
