The City of LaGrange is asking citizens to stay clear of the areas surrounding the new skatepark in Southbend Park as crews continue to work on landscaping.

Crews are fine grading the soil to prepare for the installation of irrigation and sod to the area. They will be removing pine straw so that the soil will be dry and suitable for sod installation.

Southbend Park and the LaGrange Skatepark will remain open, but the area around the skatepark may appear messy.

The landscaping project is expected to be completed in time for the Skatepark Grand Opening April 20.
