Patricia Burdette Hester, 79, of LaGrange, GA peacefully passed from this life to life eternal on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.

Mrs. Hester was born January 31, 1940 in LaGrange, GA to the late William Hoyt and Bernice Lorene Freeman Burdette.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and worked for a number of years with her husband at Hester Brothers Paving and Grading with Freddie and Pat Hester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Anne Burdette and her husband, Charlie Will Hester.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Hester; sons, Terry (Lorrie) Hester, Charles (Susan) Hester, and Scott (Victoria) Hester; grandchildren, Emily Hester (Brent) Matheny, Brian (Kayleigh) Hester, Brent (Samantha) Hester, Morgan Sikes, Makenzie Sikes, Madeline Sikes, Charley Anne Hester, Josh (Rebecca) Vann, Kelly (Kevin) Hsu, Jordan Vann, and Lindsey Weathers; great grandchildren, Trent Hester, Tanner Hester, Lowen Hester, Barrett Hester, Lennox Hester, Makinley Hester, Mason Hester, Isabel Matheny, Ella Matheny, Remi Vann, and Rowan Hsu; siblings, Marie (Bill) Smith and Libby (Randy) Jordan; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00am Thursday, April 11, 2019 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Brad Thompson and Rev. Bill Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until the service hour at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
