It’s showtime.

The Georgia High School Association state baseball tournament gets started on Wednesday, with dozens of teams across the state hoping to keep their seasons alive.

The Callaway Cavaliers, LaGrange Grangers, and Troup Tigers are among the teams who’ll hit the field for the opening round of the playoffs on Wednesday.

While Callaway and Troup will be at home, LaGrange heads north to Stephens County for its first-round matchup.

Callaway is hosting Banks County, while Troup takes on St. Pius X.

Here’s a look at each of the first-round matchups. For previews of each series, see Wednesday’s sports section:

CALLAWAY VS.  BANKS COUNTY

WHEN: Wednesday, 5 p.m. (doubleheader); Thursday, 4 p.m. (if necessary)

WHERE: Callaway

HOW THEY GOT HERE: Callaway finished second in Region 5-AA; Banks County finished third in Region 8-AA

TROUP VS. ST. PIUS X

WHEN: Wednesday, 4:30 p.m. (doubleheader), Thursday, 6 p.m. (if necessary)

WHERE: Troup

HOW THEY GOT HERE: Troup finished second in Region 5-AAAA; St. Pius finished third in Region 8-AAAA

LAGRANGE VS. 

STEPHENS COUNTY

WHEN: Wednesday, 4 p.m. (doubleheader), Thursday, 1 p.m. (if necessary)

WHERE: Stephens County

HOW THEY GOT HERE: LaGrange finished third in Region 5-AAAA; Stephens County finished second in Region 8-AAAA
