Mr. Thomas C. (“Gismo”) Owens, age 91, of Victoria, Texas passed away Monday, April 22, 2019.   He was born on November 17, 1927 in LaGrange and was the son of the late Gus Owens and Lou Ella Thomas.   He was educated in the LaGrange School system and worked for many years for the Victoria Independent School District.    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Theodore Owens.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Marie Scott Owens, Victoria, TX; daughters, Mary Owens, LaGrange, GA, Tommie Franklin (Dwain), Victoria, TX, Theresa L. Williams (Jeff), Victoria, TX,  Patricia A. Ellis (Willie), Victoria, TX; sons, Wayne Brown, Houston, TX, Carey Owens, Montgomery, AL.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00AM in Victoria.  Burial will be at a later date. Barefield Funeral Home at 1505 S. Laurent Street, Victoria, TX 77901 [(351) 575- 6180] is in charge of arrangements.
