LPD investigates burglary on Vine Street

On Saturday morning, just after midnight, the LaGrange Police Department responded to 202 Vines Street in reference to multiple shots being fired into a residence.

According to a LPD press release, upon arrival officers encountered Thillinius Gray sitting in his vehicle with an AK-47 assault rifle in the passenger seat, along with several televisions and an Xbox One game console. The LPD’s criminal investigations division responded and initiated an investigation, which revealed that following a previous altercation with the homeowners at 202 Vine Street. According to the LPD that previous altercation involved Joshua Maddox and two unknown returning to the residence and firing multiple shots into the home. The assault rifle was fired before entering the home and then the televisions and Xbox console were removed.

Maddox was located a short time later and detained.

Both Maddox and Gray were transported to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office where Maddox was charged with one count of burglary and gray was charged with one count of party to a crime, burglary and reckless Conduct. More arrests are expected in this case, according to the LPD.
