LaGrange Mayor Jim Thornton recently issued an official proclamation honoring The Mosa Fund.

The Mosa Fund is a 501©3 organization who has spayed/neutered/given rabies shots to 1,800 cats in Troup County.

This translates to 20,000 unwanted kittens prevented in the county.

“We are comprised of four women over the age of 60 who saw the problem ten years ago and decided to do something about it,” said Founder Nancy Yates.

“In addition, two of our members, Sandra Fowler and Brenda May, feed more than 70 cats each and every day, paying for the food out of their own pockets. Feeding allows them to tame the cats, catch them, then spay/neuter and release them. This is the kind of dedication we have in our organization.”
