Carrollton Main Street’s Market Day on June 15 will highlight locally-made and locally-grown products in the heart of the city’s original trading district, according to a press release from market organizers.
“The idea is to create a one-stop shop downtown with a farmers market feel that showcases a variety of producers from Carroll County and the surrounding area,” said Aundi Lesley, Carrollton Main Street director.
The one-day marketplace on Adamson Square will feature 48 vendors with a diverse array of goods including produce, meats, cheeses, flowers and handmade items. Event attendees can explore the restaurants and retailers of Carrollton’s vibrant downtown while they check out Market Day. Gallery Row and 4AM Coffee Roasters will host a community coffee tasting during the event.
In an earlier time, agricultural products, dry goods and other items produced in the area were brought to Adamson Square on the first Tuesday of every month to be traded. Market Day returns the open-air bazaar to downtown, but on a more customer-friendly Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
