The public is invited to join the City of LaGrange for its monthly litter clean-up event along Country Club Road Saturday, July 20,  8 a.m. until 10 a.m.

The group will meet in the Hollis Hand Elementary parking lot, 641 Country Club Road.

The city is proud to partner with Hollis Hand Elementary for this event.  This event will also include a scavenger hunt with prizes.

Nearly 50 city employees and community volunteers participated in the June 15 litter pickup along the second segment of The Thread near Eastside Park. The city was proud to partner with the LaGrange Housing Authority for this event.

City Manager Meg Kelsey wanted to send a message to the community that the City of LaGrange is serious about cleaning up litter and rolled out the city’s “Leaving LaGrange Better Than We Found It” campaign. The City of LaGrange closed non-essential business the morning of April 20, 2018, and hundreds of employees picked up trash throughout the community.

The litter pickup was so successful the city began hosting monthly events.
