Woman killed in two-vehicle crash on I-85

A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 85 on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Teresa Milam, 64, according to a press release from Georgia State Patrol. The crash occurred near mile marker eight at approximately 9:40 a.m.
Milam was operating a 1997 Ford F-150 and had pulled into the southbound emergency lane. When Milam attempted to change lanes from the emergency lane to the center median, a Pontiac Vibe could not stop and struck Milam’s vehicle in the rear, according to the press release.
According to the accident report, the Ford F-150 traveled into the median and caught fire. Milam was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.
It is unclear at this time about the condition of the other victim(s) involved in the crash.
