Mr. Jimmy “Wayne” (Snap) McNair, 57, passed away peacefully at his home on July 1st, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born July 6th, 1961 to Jimmie Ed and Ima Nell Edwards McNair. In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife of 19 years, Christine Carsrud McNair; a daughter, Sertira Shantelle McNair (Tim Gabel); a granddaughter, Aubrey Elle Gabel; a brother, James Wesley “Jim” McNair (Debbie); a niece, Britney McNair; a nephew, Josh McNair (Ashley); and a host of friends and family. Preceded in death by his father-in-law, Alton Carsrud, and numerous beloved family members. He attended LaGrange High School, he loved his grangers and still enjoyed going to games at Callaway Stadium on Friday nights. He received his CNC Specialist Degree from WGTC as well as his CDL’s. He attended Baptist Tabernacle. He adored his granddaughter, Elle, and he was the best “Gdad” ever. He loved sports and always told stories of his days spent shooting hoops at the old YMCA and later joining an adult league softball team playing with friends and employees. He lived and breathed college football and was extremely passionate about his Georgia Bulldogs…. he truly was their biggest fan. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his dad, brother, nephew, and friends. He would always ride his motorcycle in local benefit rides, including his own. He frequented different mountain tops with a view in Pine Mountain, Mount Cheaha, and he braved the Tail of the Dragon at Deal’s Gap. Too soon he left to travel, beyond where we can see. But it’s all about the journey, forever riding free.

A celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 5 pm at Higgins Funeral Home in LaGrange, GA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to FightCRC.org in memory of Wayne McNair. Online condolences may be made at www.higginsfuneralhomes.com
