A free Azalea Storytelling event will take place Friday night at the LSPA Black Box Theatre at 7:30 p.m. to kick the weekend off.
Saturday morning, 28 teams will race against one another on West Point Lake for the fourth annual Dragon Boat Race.
The race will begin at Pyne Road Park at 8:30 a.m., with team registration and tailgate set-up beginning at 6:45 a.m. The closing ceremony is scheduled to take place in the early afternoon. Families are encouraged to come to the free event. Additionally, food vendors will be at the race to buy bites to eat while watching rowers paddle to the finish line.
