Miss Helen Jabaley

Miss Helen Jabaley of LaGrange, GA died peacefully in her sleep at home on July 17, 2019. She was 94 years old.

She was born at home on Lincoln Street on June 18, 1925 in LaGrange, the daughter of the late Charles Z. and Helene Turk Jabaley. She was a charter member of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, where she served in many volunteer positions during her lifetime. She received St. Peter’s Catholic Church Faithful Servant Award in 2010.

She lived in LaGrange, GA her entire life. She graduated from LaGrange High School and she worked in family businesses and LaGrange Banking Company and she retired from C&S National Bank.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Elizabeth Jabaley Beshara of Youngstown, OH, and Lena Jabaley Gay of LaGrange, and by six brothers; Joe, Fred, Jim, John, and Raymond Jabaley of LaGrange, GA and Charles, Jr. of Atlanta; and by five nephews.

She is survived by numerous cousins, twenty-two nephews and nieces, and twenty-four Great-nephews and great nieces.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in LaGrange, GA with Father Tim Gadziala officiating. The family will receive friends following the Mass. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
