A sea of blue t-shirts filled the Norican parking lot Thursday afternoon as each and every employee gathered to watch Norican president and CEO, Anders Wilhjelm, host its official grand opening.

According to its website, Norican Group is home to four leading, globally operating brands: DISA, Italpresse Gauss, StrikoWestofen and Wheelabrator, with digitalization solutions from Norican Digital, all of which work in the machinery industry.

“I am excited about being here and participating in the opening, somewhat delayed, but still opening,” Wilhjelm said.

“The Wheelabrator business which was part of that combined family that today we now call Norican Group has been in this community for many years.”

The Norican Group NA Technology & Distribution Hub, located in the industrial park, was created by the merger of DISA and Wheelabrator, which officially closed in 2010. Since then, Wilhjelm said the business has been growing more and more every day.

“And then as the company has grown and combined businesses, we have seen growth through acquisition, but also through coordinating growth,” Wilhjelm said. “We will continue to grow.”

The belated grand opening came from an official rebranding of the manufacturing company, according to human resource manager, Tami Poe.

“Adding the other brands in 2017, it diversified and strengthened the business,” Poe said.

“The vision is to improve the speed of our business and to exceed our customer expectations.”

Norican Group has a home office in Denmark, with offices in countries such as China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Belarus, per the company’s website.
