After a year of planning and acquiring the appropriate number of licenses, Wild Leap announced Monday morning that it is expanding into spirits.
According to a press release from Wild leap, the first opportunity to taste the new, eight times distilled, hand crafted vodka will be Aug. 12, in the new taproom in the brewery.
“We designed each cocktail with a different flavor palette in mind,” said Brittany Goldstein, general manager and beverage director, in a press release.
“Each drink will be made to order with high-quality, fresh ingredients with flavors ranging from sweet tea to cucumber mint. Our juices will be freshly squeezed, and we’ll even be offering a twist on the Michelada.”
The added expansion of the taproom will feature a cocktail menu with a range of classic drinks to more in-house creations, according to the release.
The new Wild Leap Vodka is the first of its kind for the brewery and according the release it will be available to purchase in package stores, bars and restaurants in LaGrange and Metro Atlanta in the fall.
“Creating high-quality craft beer has always been our focus,” said Wild Leap CEO and co-founder Anthony Rodriguez.
“Although we will continue to do so, we are excited to take that same approach to the spirits world.”
Differing from its traditional buffalo logo, the vodka label will feature a bear.
“We want our vodka to stand on its own, so we chose a new mark that still encapsulated the spirit of Wild Leap,” said Rob Goldstein, chief marketing officer and co-founder. “A bear represents strength, confidence and a determination to overcome all hurdles. It’s about finding the courage to take chances in your career, your personal life or any other aspect of your life.”
