The Callaway Lady Cavaliers keep swinging away.

Callaway ran its winning streak to six games with Tuesday’s 18-8 home win over Hardaway.

The Lady Cavaliers (6-2) are averaging 10 runs per game this season, and they’ve reached double digits in runs in five of their eight games.

Callaway will try to run its win streak to seven with a home win over a strong Bowdon team on Thursday.

Callaway only needed three innings to dispatch Hardaway.

Leijorey Sanders and Kourtney Grier were two of Callaway’s offensive leaders, and they both hit inside-the-park home runs.

That was part of a big day for Sanders, who had a home run and a two-run double, both in the third inning.

Grier finished with three hits and three RBIs, and Chaple Butler had two hits and a walk and two runs scored.

McKenzie Rhodes walked three times and scored three runs and Mya Lawton had a base hit.

Lindsay Cofield was on base three times with a hit and two walks, and Alora Vetsavong had a hit.

Alexus Furgerson walked and scored two runs, and Aaliyah Morman walked twice.

Furgerson pitched the three-inning complete game.

Callaway opens its Region 5-AA schedule on Aug. 20 against Lamar County.
