Alice Pauline Reason Worley, age 92, passed away at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice on August 20, 2019. She was born on August 27, 1926 to the late Oliver Clifford Reason, Sr. and Roxie Betty Funderburg Reason in LaGrange, GA. Mrs. Alice retired from West Point Stevens after 38 years of service. She held many different positions during her employment with the company. She served as roll booker, payroll clerk, and retired as insurance clerk for West Point Stephens Mill. She also taught kindergarten for 3 ½ years. She loved the children as if they were her own. She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday School. She was also the W.M.U. President, Baptist Training Union Teacher, Church pianist from the beginning of the church in 1941 until they purchased an organ. She then transferred over to the organ and has played up until 5 weeks ago.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Horace Willard Worley; brothers, Charlie Reason, Lewis “Snook” Reason, Oliver Clifford “OC” Reason, Jr.; sisters, Cora Wright, Vergie Smith.

Survivors include her sons, Raymond Worley (Cuc), Randy Worley (Lori Drake); daughters, Anita “Susie” Dial (the late Kenneth), Paula Teague (Tim); grandchildren, Kenneth Worley, Wayne Worthy, Tony Worthy, Cindy Roberts, Lisa Curran, Amy Nixon, Shane Cummings, Daniel Cummings; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Family will have visitation on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Shoal Creek Baptist Church from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Funeral services will start at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Anthony Hovey officiating. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery. The family will be accepting friends at the home of her daughter Susie at, 926 Malibu Drive, LaGrange, Ga 30240.
