LFD responds to Cooley St. fire

The LaGrange Fire Department is investigating a storage building fire that occurred on Thursday night on Cooley Road.

On Thursday at 10:31 p.m., the LFD was dispatched to 103 B Cooley Road in response to a report of a structure fire with two cars, according to a city press release. When firefighters arrived on the scene at approximately 10:34 p.m., they reportedly found heavy flames and smoke coming from an outside storage building located behind the residence. 

According to the press release, fire fighters advanced one attack lines to the back side of the building for an aggressive fire attack. The fire was reportedly under control and extinguished by 11:02 p.m.

The LFD reported that one vehicle received minor heat damage to the passenger side, and fire loss estimates were set at $5,000 to the structure and contents. The cause of the fire is under investigation by LaGrange Fire Department.
