LPD responds to shooting on Addie Street

A man was shot and another injured Saturday on Addie Street after a man fired at them from a vehicle’s sun roof, according to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. Saturday, LaGrange police officers responded to the 100 block of Addie Street in reference to a person shot.
According to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department, detectives made contact with a 19-year-old male who suffered from a gunshot wound to the lower leg.
Additionally, a 20-year-old male was also injured during the incident, who had minor injuries from falling to the ground after running from the gun shots.
Both victims told LPD that they were standing on the sidewalk of Addie Street when an unknown black male pulled up to the intersection of Addie and McGee Street, stood up through his vehicle’s sun roof and shot at them multiple times, according to LPD.
The vehicle involved is described as a black Acura.
The two victims were transported to West Georgia Medical Center where they were both treated for their injuries.
