THINC College and Career Academy announced last Friday who its new chief executive officer would be.
Once a board member, now CEO, Gerald Wyatt will be transitioning into the position over the next few weeks and officially starting on Sept. 23.
Over the past few years, THINC has had a major impact on the Troup County area with hundreds of students learning technical skills.
Such an innovative program needs innovative thinkers such as Wyatt.
Wyatt currently works as the senior human resources manager of Mando and has served THINC and the board for several years in a multitude of roles.
Wyatt’s specific goals of broadening the brand, for THINC to be used as a template for other counties and states and to create a metric system to assess the successfulness of the academy is expected to bring great things to the school during his time as CEO.
Wyatt will spend the next coming month learning everything he can from the outgoing CEO Dr. Kathy Carlisle before she retires in November.
With Wyatt’s eagerness and passion for the school we wish him nothing but luck and our support as he invests in Troup County’s next generation of leaders.
