Leland Stanford Brunson Jr. passed away peacefully late on September 5th. He was surrounded all day by family and friends sharing wonderful memories of his 87 years. Leland enjoyed a wonderful life full of adventures and love with family and friends. From Tulsa to Southern California, Florida and Georgia, Leland always had a smile and story for everyone he met. Leland was preceded in death by his parents, Leland Sr. and Dorothy Brunson, his brother, Paul, his wife, Jane. He is survived by his son, David (Kelley), daughter Julie (Peter) and six grandchildren, Kamilah Brunson, David Larragueta, Jackson Brunson, Luke Larragueta, Tyler Brunson and Abby Brunson. The family would like to thank the staff at Twin Fountains and West Georgia Hospice for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 5:00 pm at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in LaGrange.  Family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 3-5 pm at the Hunter Allen Myhand Funeral Home.  Private family interment services will be at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery with Military Honors.  Hunter Allen Myhand Funeral Home, 706-884-5626.
