West Point men arrested on multiple drug charges

Two West Point men were arrested on Sept. 4 on multiple drug charges, according to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office.
Tabious Heard, 27, and J’Franciso Turner, 29, were both charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
According to the news release, narcotics investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office, along with officers from the West Point Police Department, executed a search warrant at 1407 E. 8th St. in West Point.
Police say the search warrant was executed after a long-term narcotics investigation that started after a complaint was received regarding illegal narcotic sells at the home.
During the search, ecstasy, marijuana and crack cocaine were seized, according to the news release.
After the drugs were found, men were taken into custody.
