Troup County property tax bills due in November

Troup County Tax Commissioner Shane Frailey has announced that all real and personal property tax bills for 2019 are in the process of being sent out and will be due on Nov. 15, 2019.

Payments can be made in person or by mail at 100 Ridley Ave, LaGrange, Ga 30240.

Frailey also said in a news release that the tax office has a secure dropbox in the public parking lot area of the government building on Ridley Avenue.

The use of MasterCard, Visa or Discover is available for payment purposes as well as cash or check. Residents can also pay online at www.troupcountytax.com.

If a resident purchased property after Jan. 1, 2019, they may not receive a tax bill, due to the bill being in the previous owner’s name.

If a resident has a question, Frailey said they should call (706) 883-1620.

If there is a question about taxes owed on property purchased after Jan. 1, 2019, the tax office will give that resident the tax amount due or mail a new owner’s bill.

In other business, the tax office will have a representative at the Hogansville City Hall on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at West Point City Hall on Nov. 5, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for convenience of accepting payments.
