Four people were shot Saturday night in the area of Elm Street, according to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of Elm Street at 10:30 p.m. in reference to multiple shots fired in the area. Officers located a female victim, who suffered from a gunshot wound to the shoulder area and hand. Witnesses told police that she was shot while running from the area after hearing gunshots, according to the press release.

The female victim was flown to an area hospital for emergency treatment.

Officers were also notified of three other victims at WellStar West Georgia. One of the victims suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle, another suffered a gunshot wound to the back and the third suffered a gunshot wound to the left shoulder.

Numerous other victims were spoken to on the scene and at WellStar, with several suffering minor injuries from running from the area, according to the press release.
