Mrs. Nassie Lee Kelly Morman

Nassie Lee Kelly Morman, 97, a resident of Florence Hand Home passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Morman was born May 29, 1922, the only daughter of Ida B. Hale Lovelace and Gaines Kelly in Randolph County, AL. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, worked a number of years at Callaway Mills and retired from Uniroyal.  Mrs. Morman loved her family, friends, and her home. She was an avid gardener who loved flowers, growing vegetables, and taking care of her yard. She enjoyed her church family and especially loved southern gospel music. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd H. Morman and a son, Hoagy Morman.

Survivors include her children, Jackie and Shirley Morman, Linda and Phil Gasaway, Dennis and Drusilla Morman; daughter-in-law, Glady Morman, widow of Hoagy Morman; grandchildren, Jack Morman, Jr., Lisa Morman Alford, Brad Morman, Phil Gasaway, Jr., Chris Gasaway, Kelly Gasaway Sanker, Matthew (BB) Morman, Margy Morman, Brock Morman, Jeff Morman, and Mallory Morman; 19 great grandchildren; several other relatives and friends.

The Gathering of Family and Friends will be September 20, 2019 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service. The Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2019 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Jack Morman officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
