LaGrange artist’s work to be featured at the Arts Festival of Carrollton

The Arts Festival of Carrollton will take place on Oct. 12 and 13 and will include artists and craftsmen from across the United States.
According to a press release on the festival, it highlights West Georgia as a richly creative community active in the arts by showcasing the highest quality local and national artists within an interactive and entertaining setting for patrons of all ages.
Organized by the Carrollton Artist Guild and the Carrollton Center for the Arts, the festival features an artist market with original works of painting, sculpture, pottery, photography, jewelry and much more on display and up for purchase.
LaGrange artist Jo Keith will return as an exhibiting artist this year. Keith designs and hand-tools leather accessories. His skilled hand and creativity can be seen in the many functional and decorative items he produces, including lamp shades, wallets, totes, clutches, flowers and bracelets.
The press release notes other events going on beyond the market, such as glass blowing demonstrations by Georgia Southwestern State University, live portrait drawing and printing by University of West Georgia art students and special effects makeup by Greg and Sandra Solomon. There is also special hands-on art activities for kids.
On stage performances throughout the weekend will entertain with an eclectic mix of music, dance and vocal performers.
