The Thursday Lunch Club (TLC) met at noon Aug. 1, 2019, in the Fellowship Hall of the LaGrange First United Methodist Church, according to a press release.

There were 141 guests. The tables were decorated by the Elizabeth Circle of the LaGrange First UMC. 

Joyce Morgan Young, TLC committee chair, welcomed everyone and called on Dr. John Beyers, senior minister of First United Methodist Church to add his words of welcome and blessing.  

Door prizes this month were donated by Chick-fil-A™ and Creative Call-Ins.  Each winner received a gift certificate from Chick-fil-A™ and a basket of Orange Blossom Muffins from Creative Call-Ins. 

Joyce introduced Storyteller Allen Keeble.  

The Honorable Allen B. Keeble is a retired Senior Superior Court Judge and storyteller. He entertained everyone with his humorous stories from his time as a sitting judge and his journey to becoming a judge. 

Many in attendance also learned some historical facts about the area concerning the courts.
