Brown said service through Trustbuilding Inc., United Way, Rotary, Friends of The Thread and LaGrange College Leadership Council have helped him develop relationships with other community leaders and ensure that important projects that benefit all citizens move forward.

Brown said participation in Leadership Georgia and Leadership Troup has allowed him to learn best practices from statewide and community institutions that guide his vision for LaGrange.

In 2017, Brown was the co-chair of the historic SPLOST campaign that received 72 percent voter approval to fund projects like The Thread, road improvements an critical public safety upgrades for law enforcement and the fire department.
