Mr. Charlie Poythress

Charlie Poythress, 85, of 717 Glenn Robertson Dr. passed on Sunday at WellStar Hospice Lagrange.
Charlie “Bojay” Poythress the son of the late Joe Sr. and Essie Poythress was born in Lagrange. He attended East Depot High and later served one tour in the U.S. Army.
Charlie was employed with Lagrange Molding and was the owner of the neighborhood Tasty Treat that served the community with his famous foods. He was a long-standing member of Saint Paul Baptist Church serving as a Deacon and Church Treasurer until his health declined. Bojay was an active member of the former Lagrange American Legion Post 580.
He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by four brothers.
Survivors includes loving care-givers John Poythress, Jr. Connie Williams and Thairus Poythress, special nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral services with military honors will be held on Monday, 2 p.m. at Saint Paul Baptist church with the Rev. Desmond Scaife officiating and Rev. Charlie Barsh, Eulogist.
The interment will be in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery. Viewing will be on Sunday from 1 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at his home.
