Suspect in custody after Troup Street shooting

A man has been arrested after a shooting and home invasion on Troup Street Tuesday morning, according to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department.
Rakeem McCamey, 27, was taken into custody on Tuesday night, according to the press release.
The initial investigation revealed that two unidentified suspects entered the residence and held 22-year-old, 30-year-old and 27-year-old male victims at gunpoint and proceeded to rob them of their money. According to Sgt. William Nelson, one of the victims did not live there.
“Two assailants entered the home and shortly after there was an altercation,” Nelson said. “One of the assailants fired the two shots with a handgun that then struck the resident’s hand and arm.”
The victim was taken to a hospital in Columbus for non-threatening gunshot wounds and is in stable condition, according to Nelson.
“We have some leads on another suspect but have not pinpointed who they are,” Nelson said.
