Mrs. Joanne Thompson Stroud, age 84, of LaGrange, passed away on November 21, 2019 at her residence.  Mrs. Stroud was born on October 24, 1935 in LaGrange to the late John Henry Thompson, Sr. and Lillian Rachel Murphy Thompson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Stroud; grandson, Justin Lane; siblings, Elaine Bryant, Betty Moon, Dot Munday, John Henry Thompson, Jr. and William Thompson.  Mrs. Stroud retired from Kleen-Tex, Inc. and was a member of Baptist Tabernacle.  Survivors include her children, Wanda Webb, Steve Stroud and Sebrina Carrington (Shane); brother, Bill Thompson; Jean Moncus (Jimmy); grandchildren, Rocky Webb (Amanda), John Webb (Christy), Sidney Stroud, Jessica Lane-May (Brandon), Joshua Lane and Jarred Lane; great grandchildren, Jasmine Webb, John Webb, Jordan Webb, Caden Stroud, Mason Atkinson, Hayden May, Jayden Lane and Mason May; special niece, Jeannie Fairall (Dale); numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Jimmie McMillian officiating.  Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Sunday beginning at 2 p.m. until service hour at the church. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home of her daughter Wanda at 325 Cooley Road in LaGrange.
