The Troup Tigers, after opening the season with a pair of road wins, will jump into the home portion of their schedule with a bang.

Troup, which has beaten Harris County and Heard County to improve to 2-0, will host 2018 state-champion Upson-Lee on Tuesday.

Troup remained unbeaten with a 59-27 victory over Heard County on Friday.

It was a balanced effort, with every Troup player who appeared in the game scoring.

“Every kid on the team scored,” Troup head coach Blake Craft said. “That’s always good for team morale.”

Getting everyone involved while playing at a fast pace is something Craft hopes to do throughout the season.

“That’s the way I like to play,” Craft said. “I like to get out and go, and have everybody score.”

In the 50-47 victory over Harris County as well as the win over Heard County, Craft has been pleased with the way the players have been willing to be coached.

“These kids are listening and wanting to get better,” Craft said.

Troup’s girls’ team is also unbeaten through two games, and it overwhelmed Heard County 69-32 on Friday.

Troup’s teams finish the week with games at Greenville on Friday.
