The Callaway and Troup basketball teams were supposed to play twice this week, but those games aren’t going to happen.

The games scheduled for Tuesday and Saturday have been canceled.

Callaway’s football team lost in the state semifinals on Friday, and the basketball teams won’t play their first games until Dec. 16 when they host LaGrange.

Troup’s boys’ and girls’ teams only games this week will be at home against Harris County on Friday.

Troup’s girls’ team will try to continue its torrid start to the season.

Troup (5-0), which beat East Coweta 72-51 in its most recent game to remain unbeaten, began the season with a 63-36 victory over Harris County.

Troup’s boys’ team is 3-2, with the losses coming to strong Upson-Lee and East Coweta teams.

Also this week, LaGrange’s red-hot boys’ and girls’ teams will look to keep the good times rolling.

LaGrange will host Lamar County on Tuesday before visiting Pike County on Thursday.

LaGrange’s girls’ team, which beat Harris County 56-44, has won three straight games to improve to 4-3.
