Janelle Cooley Whitlow, 82, of LaGrange, Georgia, peacefully passed from this life to life eternal on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, from West Georgia Hospice.

Mrs. Whitlow was born Jan. 11, 1937, in Troup County, daughter of the late Jim Brinkley Cooley and Mattie Belle Caswell Cooley. She faithfully attended Big Springs United Methodist Church and was a manager of agricultural stabilization and conservation services for 44 years. Mrs. Whitlow was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, the United Methodist Women and the Cattlemen’s Association. 

Survivors include her loving husband, William C. Whitlow; sons, William C. Whitlow III, DVM and his wife Laura and John B. Whitlow, OD and his wife Donna; grandchildren, Will Whitlow, Jennifer Whitlow, John H. Whitlow, Chase Whitlow and Riley Whitlow; several other relatives and friends.

The life celebration service will be Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with the Rev. Paul Blair officiating. The family and friends will gather on Tuesday at 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Meadoway Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Big Springs United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice in memory of Mrs. Janelle Whitlow.
